Global Expertise: Research and Development at Linglong Tire
Linglong Tire develops and tests tires worldwide. In addition to its Chinese research and development centers in Zhaoyuan, Yantai, Jinan, Beijing, and Shanghai, further development centers are located in the USA and Europe. Currently, over 1,500 domestic and international experts work there with state-of-the-art computers, innovative test equipment, and chemical analysis instruments on the development of the latest products and technologies.

State-of-the-Art Testing
The Sino-Asia Proving Ground
To optimally test tires, Linglong operates the largest and most modern proving ground in Asia: the Sino-Asia Proving Ground in Zhaoyuan, which opened in 2020 and is managed by Applus Idiada, a world-leading certification and operational organization for test facilities. The site features a total of 18 tire test tracks, including tracks for wet and dry handling, high-speed or noise tests, and several braking test tracks. The Linglong test complex is also available to external companies in the automotive and tire industry for the development, validation, homologation, and certification of vehicles and components.
Engineering from Hanover: The European Development Center
The European Linglong Development Center is located in Hanover and features a fully equipped workshop, state-of-the-art equipment for measuring and analyzing various tire data, and various facilities for preparing test vehicles. The coordination of the permanently used test tracks in Spain (Idiada) and in Ivalo, Finland (Testworld) is also managed by the European Development Center. All tires for the European market are fundamentally developed and tested in Europe – and from 2024, they will also be predominantly produced in Europe.
