Linglong Tire: Global Expertise in Original Equipment
Linglong Tire is one of the world's leading original equipment suppliers. Linglong Tire boasts decades of experience in original equipment and has already delivered nearly 300 million original equipment tires worldwide.
Strategic Partnerships with Global Top Automotive Brands
Linglong Tire is an original equipment supplier for eight of the world's ten largest OEMs and includes top brands such as Volkswagen, Audi, Cupra, Skoda, BMW, Ford, Honda, or Geely, BYD, Leapmotor, and Hongqi, the oldest and most luxurious Chinese automobile manufacturer. In 2024, Linglong Tire's global OE market share reached 6.6%, securing its leading position among Chinese OE tire suppliers.

OEM Tire Overview
Global Market Leader in Tires for Electric Vehicles (NEV)
The globally renowned consulting firm Frost & Sullivan has officially named Linglong Tire the world's largest supplier of original equipment tires for New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) for two consecutive years, based on its 2024 sales figures. New Energy Vehicles include all types of electric vehicles, both battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs).

Optimized Performance for Electric Cars and Hybrid Vehicles
In total, Linglong supplied over nine million original equipment tires in this segment to manufacturers such as Hongqi, BYD, Geely, and Dongfeng Nissan. The tires are characterized by low rolling resistance, very quiet running noise, and excellent grip, and are specifically adapted to the performance characteristics of the respective NEV models.

Tire Development for OEMs
Individual Tire Development in Cooperation with OEMs
All Linglong Tire original equipment tires are developed, inspected, tested, and approved in close cooperation with the respective OEMs. Due to numerous assistance systems, integrated differential locks, and other components that directly influence driving dynamics, all automotive manufacturers demand tires that react perfectly to the electronic control systems of the respective models and are ideally tailored to the specific vehicles – especially for electric vehicles regarding rolling resistance, weight, and fuel consumption!

The Path to a Homologated Tire: Years of Precision
The demanding and complex development process for a so-called homologated original equipment tire typically takes two to three years. During this time, Linglong's engineers and test drivers work closely with the responsible developers, designers, and test drivers from the vehicle manufacturers. Numerous experiments, indoor and outdoor tests, and 3D simulations are conducted collaboratively.
Acoustic Optimization and Reduction of Chassis Vibrations
The first development phase lasts up to three months and forms the basis from which Linglong begins to improve the specific characteristics of the tire for the respective vehicle. If the vehicle manufacturer's specification, for example, includes a very quiet and comfortable design, Linglong's engineers work on the tread pattern or the contact patch of the base tire's tread pattern to eliminate disruptive vibrations that can arise from the echo between the chassis and the tire. Even the smallest changes can alter the noise or sound so that the tire precisely meets the vehicle manufacturer's requirements.
Technical Expertise for Next-Generation Mobility
Thanks to close collaboration with leading automotive manufacturers worldwide, Linglong can draw on technical expertise that few tire manufacturers can match, because developing and testing tires for next-generation vehicles also means experimenting with the latest technologies and materials, for example, to build even lighter tires or tires with even lower rolling resistance as demanded by car manufacturers, or to jointly develop tire sizes that are not yet available on the market today!

Maximum Quality for all Linglong Tires
Current Linglong tires also benefit from this expertise, for example, through optimized rubber compounds in ongoing production. The continuous exchange of information, the joint optimization of various requirements, and ongoing feedback from the vehicle manufacturer ultimately result in the perfect tire, which in turn makes the respective vehicle a perfect vehicle. To complete the vehicle manufacturer's approval process, industrialization and then production follow the conclusion of the development project. Only then is the homologated tire launched in its final form, and only then is the tire finally adapted to the vehicle. Almost all manufacturers also specifically mark the tire; for example, tires homologated for Volkswagen are marked with a +, tires for BMW with a star, and tires for Porsche with N0 or N1.

Partnerships in the European Market
Current European original equipment fitments include the Linglong Sport Master C/S model in size 255/45 R19 100V for the Volkswagen Tiguan, Volkswagen Tayron, and Cupra Terramar; the Linglong Green-Max HP300 in size 185/65 R15 88H for the Fiat 500 e; the Linglong Comfort Master in size 205/50 R17 93W for the Citroen C3; and the brand-new Linglong Dura Master Van e in size 215/75 R16C 116/114S for the Fiat Ducato. In the truck segment, Linglong Tire supplies four different OE trailer models to the renowned German trailer manufacturer Krone. Additionally, numerous models from Chinese manufacturers such as Geely, Leapmotor, Hongqi, or the Dacia Spring are equipped with Linglong OE tires in China and exported to Germany and Europe.

Sustainable Supply Chains and European Production
As part of its European original equipment strategy, Linglong Tire became the first and only tire manufacturer in 2023 to join the Responsible Supply Chain Initiative (RSCI), which was founded in 2021 by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) along with 14 other founding members, including Daimler AG, Volkswagen AG, and BMW AG. Through its standardized audit mechanism, RSCI assesses the sustainability performance of companies in automotive supply chains, and also transparently presents and analyzes working conditions. In early 2025, Linglong's plant in Serbia (Linglong International Europe d.o.o. Zrenjanin) was successfully certified by RSCI, realizing the short- and medium-term plan to increase the production of original equipment tires for European OEMs in Europe.
Global Recognition in the NEV Sector
Based on 2024 sales figures, the globally renowned consulting firm Frost & Sullivan officially named Linglong Tire the world's largest supplier of original equipment tires for New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) last year. New Energy Vehicles include all types of electric vehicles, both battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). In total, Linglong supplied over nine million original equipment tires in this segment to manufacturers such as Hongqi, BYD, Geely, and Dongfeng Nissan. These tires are characterized by low rolling resistance, very quiet operation, and excellent grip, and are specifically adapted to the performance characteristics of the respective NEV models.
Market Success Through Quality and Innovative Strategies
Furthermore, Frost & Sullivan confirmed that Linglong Tire sold the most passenger car tires in China in 2024. This achievement was driven by a dual-engine strategy focusing on both product and sales. The outstanding sales figures were particularly boosted by the Linglong Sport Master product line, which has become a growth driver due to its superior quality, capturing market shares in all key segments. Optimized nationwide distribution networks in China, coupled with strategic partnerships like JD Car Maintenance, facilitated the increased sales.
